Achieve maintenance plan by scheduling and assigning staff, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems reporting results and improvement ideas as well as coach, support and manage the performance of team members.
Coordinates with Operations department for maintenance repairs to reduce and/or avoid prolonged downtime.
Instill adherence and implementation of the 5S system.
Provide internal system training.
Escalate issues to appropriate levels.
Track and maintain maintenance related KPIs.
Provide operational support as needed.
Perform Root Cause Analysis for technical, mechanical and electrical areas.
Perform regular system inspections and checks by the use system diagnostic and monitoring tools for unplanned electrical, mechanical maintenance and repairs, including control levels and system application levels as well, manipulation and adjustment of system controls.
Electrical, mechanical and PLC fault finding, diagnosis, recovery and resolution.
Analysis of component failures and single point of failure prevention as well as the establishment and improvement of component/processes.
Analysis of reoccurring failures with usage of system information inclusive of establishment and improvement of inspection method.
3 years practical experience plant maintenance including at least 3 years’ experience as a Supervisor of Plant Maintenance in an Industrial or Manufacturing Environment or/and Certificate of Qualification as a Millwright or Industrial Electrician with at least 3 years’ proven experience paired with exceptional leadership skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal with excellent time management
Critical thinking with ability to adapt to changes, innovative problem-solving skills
Experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases).
Excellent PC skills
Must be able to work at heights exceeding 25 meters
Must be able to work afternoon and/or night shift
Familiar with AC up to 400/480 volt and DC up to 24 volts
Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring
Familiar with electrical/mechanical drive technology (i.e. motors and gears)
Familiar with control technology (i.e. controls/inverter)
Experience managing in a unionized environment
Ability to lead and direct the Maintenance team
Ability to plan and direct the maintenance workload
Technical competence level to conduct internal system training
Escalation management skills
Electrical and/or mechanical installation experience in an industrial environment with production and/or manufacturing machinery
Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience with industrial equipment and machinery
Ideally previous experience with automated material handling equipment in an automated warehouse or production facility
Ability to track and maintain maintenance related KPIs
Ideally previous experience with PLC logic
Experienced technician with competence to provide operational support, electrical and mechanical maintenance in all system areas
Demonstrated competence in providing technical, mechanical and electrical root cause analysis
Competent in using system diagnostic and monitoring tools
Functionally Bilingual (French/English) an asset
